Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S Edition 1

The latest AMG to get the Edition 1 treatment is the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe was one of the hottest premieres in Geneva. Based on the range-topping GT 63 S, the limited-edition super sedan will only be available for the first 12 months of production, like all Edition 1 models.

Powering it is the ubiquitous twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, in its most powerful form. It churns out 639PS (630hp / 470kW) and 900Nm (664lb-ft) of torque, channeled to the 4Matic AWD system through a nine-speed automatic gearbox.

For the exterior, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S Edition 1 gets the Aerodynamics Package as standard, adding a larger front splitter and integrated flics in the front apron. Designo Graphite Grey Magno exterior finish, Graphite Grey sports stripes on the hood, roof, decklid and side sill panels, a 21-inch set of AMG cross-spoke forged wheels painted in matt black with a high-sheen finish round off the exterior enhancements.

Moving on inside means checking out the special AMG Multicontour Performance Seats with Memory Package, Exclusive Nappa Leather in Magma Grey/Black upholstery with yellow contrasting topstitching. There’s also an AMG performance steering wheel in DINAMICA microfiber, which also has yellow contrasting topstitching, a yellow 12 o’clock marking, and “Edition 1” Badge. Elsewhere, the special edition AMG GT 4 brings yellow seatbelts, Air-Balance Package, illuminated AMG door sills, specific floor mats and more Nappa leather in Magma Grey-finished parts.

Mercedes-AMG will premiere the new GT 63 S Edition 1 at the ADAC Zurich Race at the Nurburgring, this weekend.
