Technics Ottava S SC-C50 Wireless Speaker

Technics has unveiled the new OTTAVA™ S SC-C50 Premium Wireless Speaker System at the High-End Audio Show in Munich. This new offering from the long time audio maker has a very striking aesthetic, featuring a curvaceous aluminum enclosure and packs no less than seven drivers in rigid, glass fiber body that promised to deliver a wide soundstage.

The Technics OTTAVA S SC-C50 Speaker sounds much larger than it is. A 3.1-channel amplifier works in concert with DSP and a built-in microphone to conform to your home’s acoustics, driving a total of three tweeters, three midrange drivers, and a ported subwoofer. The seven speakers, which comprises of three 6.5 cm (2.55-inch) cone-type midrange drivers, three 16 mm (0.63-inch) dome-type tweeters and a 12 cm (4.72-inch) cone-type subwoofer, is bolstered by 100 watts amplification. It’s 37.5 cm (14.8 inches) wide stature and 7.6 kilograms (16.8 lbs) heft makes it a destined-for-home speaker.

Inputs include 3.5mm analog, optical digital, USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, with built-in Google Chromecast and support for Spotify and Tidal. No words on the pricing and availability yet.
