Swiss Haute Horlogerie Manufacture Audemars Piguet unveils 3 new Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs in a range of camouflage colours as part their pre SIHH 2019 release. Since its first launch, the Royal Oak Offshore has always been associated with new materials. The tradition continues this year with these new 44mm chronographs, which combine ceramic bezel, pushpieces and screw-locked crown, Méga-Tapisserie dial and robust rubber straps. The new colours are Blue and Green in a stainless steel case. And Brown in a pink gold case.
While the blue and green ceramic models feature a stainless steel case, the brown ceramic model a first for Audemars Piguet is endowed with a pink gold case that nicely sets off the bezel. Harder than steel, ceramic withstands high temperatures, thermal shock, scratches and … the passing years! Colouring ceramic requires a complex research stage to find the right pigments, as well as a long and delicate manufacturing process.
Like the 2018 Combat AP, the new camouflage Offshore Chronographs are driven by a modular calibre, the manufacture cal. 3120 equipped with a Dubois-Depraz chronograph module, badged as the cal. 3126/3840 with 50 hours power reserve. Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
