Wiesmann Showcases Project Thunderball’s Bespoke Program With Three Design Concepts

Luxury German car manufacturer Wiesmann has revealed three unique limited edition design concept electric vehicles (EVs). These have been inspired by the recently unveiled Project Thunderball. Developed in collaboration with global design studio studiokurbos, the design process was led by Roheen Berry, CEO of Wiesmann, to showcase the limitless bespoke possibilities for the new car.

The first Limited Edition Design Concept draws inspiration from Cote d’Azur with its warm sun, sparkling waters, and tranquil wind. It’s also supposed to evoke memories of France’s Cote d’Azur and features sea-like blue metallic paint.  It has a luxurious interior finished in the finest vibrant orange leathers with soft-touch cream canvas accents and high gloss teak accents all blending seamlessly to conjure the image and setting of a Saint Tropez beach.

Concept number two is more decadent with its gold exterior finish and burgundy velvet interior trim.  Wiesmann says it takes its design inspiration from the Roaring Twenties and the extravagant lifestyle of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Jay Gatsby.

Concept number three is inspired by the dark night and heroes of the darkness, the third design features an exquisite matt black exterior, beautifully highlighted with black gloss details. The interior showcases the purpose and power of the vehicle with matt black leather contrasted with anodised detailing and gloss carbon fibre surrounds to create an evocative and emotional driving experience.

Project Thrunderball will get the same all-electric drivetrain. That drivetrain is made up of two rear-mounted motors delivering 671 hp to the rear wheels and is capable of taking the sports car from zero to 62 mph in a claimed 2.9 seconds, while an 83 kWh battery should give it around 311 miles of driving range.

The entire first year of production of the €300,000 (around $320,000 USD) Project Thunderball is already sold out. Deliveries will begin in 2024.
