Richard Mille RM 21-02 Tourbillon Aerodyne

Richard Mille is back once again to shock the watch world with a new model, featuring a lightweight construction that blends premium materials and architectural constructions. The new Richard Mille RM 21-02 Tourbillon Aerodyne combines bold design and exceptional materials for a striking look characterized by a case made of Carbon TPT and green Quartz TPT, two exclusive materials with exceptional physical properties but also a distinctive appearance.

The tonneau case shape of the RM 21-02 is crafted from Quartz TPT, Carbon TPT, and Titanium, which displays a stunning green and orange colorway. Their surfaces display extremely regular undulations, as they are composed of multiple layers of parallel filaments obtained by dividing carbon fiber or silica threads. These layers, with a maximum thickness of 45 microns, are impregnated with black and green matrices then woven on a special machine that modifies the direction of the weft by 45° between layers. Heated to 120°C at a pressure of 6 bars, these materials are then ready to be processed on a CNC machine in Richard Mille’s case factory.

Being a true racing machine for the wrist, Richard Mille fits its newest model with an in-house Caliber RM21-01 tourbillon movement beats at 21.600 vibrations per hour and offers an autonomy of 70 hours, completely visible from a sapphire backcase. The outer portion of the green Carbon TPT backcase includes commemorative engravings that signify the extremely limited 50-piece release. Richard Mille achieves the ultimate sport feel by adding a black rubber strap that is easily interchangeable to change its look with additional color options. Although pricing has yet to be announced, the new Richard Mille RM 21-02 is sure to be one of the most desirable luxury watches of the year.

The new Richard Mille RM 21-02 Tourbillon Aerodyne has a price of CHF 780,000 excluding sales taxes. richardmille.com. Discover Opulent Club on Apple news.
