2020 Bentley Flying Spur A Luxury Grand Touring Sports Sedan

Bentley has lifted the veils of the third-generation Flying Spur. Developed from the ground up, the all-new 2020 Flying Spur is targeting those who want more luxury and finesse than the Audi A8.

While it’s still stately, the 2020 Flying Spur wears a more aggressive design than its predecessor. The 2020 Flying Spur is said to combine limousine luxury and sports sedan performance while adopting “cutting-edge customer-focused technology” starting with its totally new and advanced aluminum and composite chassis as well as 48-volt active anti-roll bars.

The styling is heavily derived from the Continental GT and adapted to four-door form with extended rear doors providing easy access into the lavish cabin. Right from the start, the Flying Spur gets LED matrix headlights and 21-inch wheels, and new LED taillamps with “B” signature. As a testimony of the modern Flying Spur’s progress, it gains access to a retractable and illuminated “Flying B” hood ornament for the first time.

Bentley makes the Flying Spur’s cabin by hand using natural, authentic materials. Offered with a whopping 15 hide colors for the seats, and an industry-first three-dimensional diamond quilted leather on the door cards.  The dashboard is largely carried over from the Conti GT. The rotating 12.3-inch touchscreen takes center stage on the dashboard but can remain completely hidden behind the veneer section. It’s a three-sided part that lets the driver choose between a 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, heritage-laced analog gauges, and the outside temperature for those favoring an old-school look.

The standard 10-speaker sound system can be upgraded to a 16-speaker, 1,500-watt Bang & Olufsen setup or to the range-topping 19-speaker, 2,200-watt Naim system with active bass transducers incorporated in the front seats.

The range-topping model is powered by the well-known 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 enginethat makes 635 PS (626 hp) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque.  The mighty 12-cylinder spins the four wheels through an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The 2020 Bentley Flying Spur will go on sale this autumn, with deliveries starting in early 2020. Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
