Jaquet Droz – Three New Spring Colours Illuminate The Skelet-One

Jaquet Droz’s Grande Seconde Skelet-One. This model has become one of the pillars of the brand, with its recognizable design that showcases all Jaquet Droz has to offer in a high-end, sportive package.  It combines traditional elements of the brand like the arrangements of the self-intersecting hours/minutes and seconds subdials to form the figure “8” with avant-garde traits, thus defining a design that is both classic and contemporary at the same time.

To celebrate this collection’s success, the Swiss manufacture based in La Chaux-de-Fonds is now presenting three new variations in green, sky- blue and yellow, each of which is limited to 28 pieces.

Like with all the other Grande Seconde timepieces, the spirit of these new timepieces stays the same with the brand’s signature figure of eight dial.  The new timepieces are powered by the 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) Jaquet Droz 2663 SQ self-winding movement equipped with a silicon balance spring and pallet lugs, a double barrel with power reserve of 68 hours, and an openwork oscillating weight in 18K white gold.

The green and sky blue models both feature a 41.5mm large ceramic case with 18-karat white gold hands and indexes. The hints of green and sky-blue are found on the hands, the railway track, and on the hand-made fabric straps.

The third version plays with the warmer tones of yellow and features red gold index and screws.  Also, the hands, hour markers, and screws on the dial side are made from 18 karat red gold and a yellow rolled-edge fabric strap. This gives this version of the Grande Seconde Skelet-One a stunning contrast, creating an urban elegance that is contemporary and timeless at the same time.

The indicative price of the three new versions of the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Skelet-One – Green (ref. J003525545), Sky Blue (ref. J003525546), Yellow (ref. J003525547) – is Euro 26,600/ US$ 26,300. jaquet-droz.com. Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
