Amazing things can happen when two independent-minded watch CEOs join forces to create something special for the upcoming Only Watch charity auction. Only Watch is a charity auction held every two years that has supported research into Muscular Dystrophy, since its inception in 2005. The 2023 auction will be held on November 5th in Geneva. Marking their second collaboration for Only Watch, H. Moser & Cie and MB&F have released the Streamliner Pandamonium. Made up of a Moser Streamliner case, fume dial, and minute repeating movement, the Pandamonium gets the MB&F exposed, oversized balance wheel construction along with a panda DJ miniature sculpture.
The watch case is stainless steel, measures 42.3 mm x 17 mm, with a signature Moser fumé dial finish in a new shade for the brand, aquamarine and the brand’s exposed repeater mechanism, MB&F’s touch is irrefutable with the large suspended balance wheel in the centre of the dial and the miniature 5.35 mm-tall Panda DJ playing his favorite tunes with the gongs circling the perimeter of the dial, and black polished hammers on either side of the 5.35 mm-tall panda DJ. This fascinating minute repeater with a three-dimensional movement has been baptized the H. Moser x MB&F Streamliner Pandamonium in honor of the little black and white bear that has become MB&F’s signature mascot for its Only Watch creations.
Driving the hours, minutes, and minute repeater with hour, quarter-hour, and minute chimes is Moser’s manually wound HMC caliber 906, with a large balance wheel suspended above the dial that comes from MBF. The movement beats at 2.5Hz and consists of 395 components with a power reserve of 54 hours.
