ZED Aerospace launches AURA: America’s first Five Star flight

ZED Aerospace is launching AURA, America’s first Five Star flight experience, combining the luxury and convenience of a private jet with the affordability and reliability of commercial air travel at a reasonable price that won’t break the bank.

According to a press release Aura aims to fill the gap between commercial flights and private jets, offering passengers “luxurious and affordable service between small private airports of large U.S. cities” like Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Denver. Designed in partnership with YASAVA Solutions of Switzerland, AURA features the most customized fleet ever introduced into commercial service, showcasing a fusion of modern Swiss design and American Art Deco ambiance. To match the elegant onboard experience, all flights depart from private airports where passengers may arrive only 20 minutes before take-off.

Renderings of the Swiss-designed Bombardier CRJ-700 aircrafts reveal armchair style seats with plenty of elbow and leg room. The seats appear to recline almost all the way back. YASAVA created the WAVE® cabin, based on the bespoke AÏANA®WAVE seat. Personal space is optimized for ultimate relaxation. Generous cabin baggage space is provided without overhead bins, resulting in an airy open architecture. Amenities and features include high-speed WiFi, complimentary iPads, HD IMAX-style screens and virtual reality headsets.

You can pay to be an Aura member and secure plane fares at fixed rates, with scheduled, frequent and reliable service in 2019. The AURA fleet of Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft will be operated by Presidential Aviation, a well-established operator with an impeccable safety record that is ARGUS Gold rated and Wyvern Wingman certified.

Non-members can book flights too, but they will certainly end up paying more. A New York to L.A. flight starts at US$ 280.
