Ferrari 488 Pista Spider Is Its Most Powerful Convertible Yet

During the Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach in California, the most prestigious of the many events that make up Monterey Car Week. Ferrari has unveiled a new Special series model, the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider. Like the 488 Pista coupe, the Spider uses a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. That’s an increase of 50 hp and 8 lb.-ft. over the 488 Spider.

The 488 Pista isn’t bad to look at either. A blue racer stripe runs from front to back, while there’s also the addition of diamond-finish 20-inch alloy wheels with a 10-spoke star-effect.
The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider represents the perfect marriage of aerodynamic efficiency, purity of form and racing spirit. The highlight of the new vehicle is central livery which runs the whole length of the car, expanding towards the rear where it finishes at the end of the rear wing next to the spoiler.

The interior is dressed in Alcantara and carbon fiber, with carpet flooring switched out for aluminum foot plates. On the driver’s side, the door handle has been replaced with a simple strap. There’s nothing like a convertible, and this might be one of the best to come out of Ferrari’s hallowed stable.
