Cognac brand Hennessy has opened its first dedicated store in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The boutique, the first of its kind in a European airport, is an exploratory and experiential space for shoppers, with an exclusive assortment of Hennessy products and a bespoke gifting service, alongside dedicate events every month.
“Maison Hennessy is very proud to inaugurate our newest travel retail experience at the historic Paris Charles de Gaulle Terminal 1,” said Laurent Boillot, President and CEO of Maison Hennessy. Having explored the world for more than 250 years, we are committed to further enriching the travel experience by showcasing French savoir-faire in an environment dedicated entirely to the Hennessy art of cognac-making that features some of the most celebrated blends ever produced.”
Hennessy expanded on an original architectural concept designed by Hubert de Malherbe for the multi-brand shop Les Caves Particulières. The design was inspired by the shipping crates that, starting in 1765, brought Hennessy cognac from a small town on the Charentes river to glamorous destinations around the world.
Every month, the Hennessy shop-in-shop will host mixology sessions, offering travellers passing through Charles de Gaulle Terminal 1 a chance to discover new cocktails based on Hennessy X.O. Visitors to the store can explore a bespoke assortment of Hennessy products, from popular collections such as the Hennessy XO and VSOP to the rarer Hennessy Paradis and Edition Particulière. The offer is enhanced by the addition of travel-retail exclusive limited edition Hennessy XO featuring a design commemorating the city of Paris in an “ultra-luxury” decanter.
Customers seeking a bespoke experience can also take away personalised versions of the Hennessy Paradis, with its leather accessories emblazoned with initials. Every month, the store will also host mixology events, introducing travellers to new cocktails, complete with recipe keepsakes to take away.
The Hennessy shop-in-shop is open daily from 6am to 10.30pm (CET). Discover Opulent Club on Apple news.
