The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon Tamara Ralph

Tamara Ralph and Audemars Piguet join creative forces to debut a new limited-edition timepiece. The Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon, revealed during Tamara Ralph’s Spring/Summer 2024 Haute Couture Fashion Week runway show in Paris. This collaboration showcases the brands’ commitment to craftsmanship, creativity, and the pursuit of beauty.

Crafted from 18-karat frosted rose gold, this highly creative timepiece features a multi-layered dial made up of four overlapping circular pink gold plates that each present a different colour.  The attention to detail is evident in the finishing techniques, including hammering, brushing, and polishing, creating a sumptuous texture with plays of light.

Continuing the circular theme, the tourbillon cage’s upper frame incorporates three rings that radiate from an off-centered disc paved with 19 brilliant cut diamonds in perfect harmony with the rest of the dial. The only other details are the pink gold hour and minute hands and an elegant AP monogram logo at 12 o’clock. Powered by the hand-wound Calibre 2964, the flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock not only showcases technical mastery but also adds a touch of sophistication to the overall aesthetic.

The “large square scale” alligator straps, hand-stitched and available in bronze and brown alligator strap for two different looks. This new Royal Oak Concept watch is more than just a way to tell time. It’s a blend of watchmaking and high fashion. It’s perfect for watch lovers who appreciate a mix of style and technical skill.
