In one of the biggest moves by a major luxury jewellery brand, Tiffany & Co. announced that it will be launching its NFT — “NFTiff,” exclusively available to CryptoPunk owners. The collection consists of 250 digital assets that grant holders access to a one-of-one example of their Punk in the form of a bespoke pendant. Launching on August 5, the pendants will be priced at 30 Ethereum or $51,000 USD.
Anyone can purchase NFTiffs, which are minted on the Ethereum blockchain. However, CryptoPunk holders can redeem the NFT for a customized-jewelry experience. After purchase, Punk holders can elect to receive a custom-designed pendant and an NFT digital artwork that resembles the final jewelry design. These are crafted by the company’s in-house artisans and inspired by the Punks NFT collection.
Exclusive only to existing owners of CryptoPunk NFTs only, Tiffany & Co. is rolling out a bespoke jewellery pendant for the first 250 orders. Tiffany designers will work with 87 attributes and 159 colors that appear in the 10,000 CryptoPunk NFT collection to match the most similar enamel or gem color. All pendants will be made with an 18k rose or yellow gold base that will be engraved with the unique Punk serial number and Tiffany logo on the backside. Lastly, collectors will receive an accompanying NFT render of their pendant.
There is a limit of three passes per customer, with the sale commencing on Aug. 5 at 10:00 am and a redemption deadline of Aug. 12 at 9:00 pm Eastern Time. Discover Opulent Club on Apple news.
